Proof of God?
Pseudo-logicians believe they have found mathematical proof for the existence of God.
You'll have to excuse me if I remain a bit skeptical.
The end of time?
(1) The work of Professor Heller . . . revolves around the search for a fundamental theory of creation. His research ranges beyond Einstein and into quantum mechanics, cosmology, physics and pure mathematics, including his own version of the Heisenberg equation, below. Although his theories do not prove the existence of God, they may provide circumstantial evidence that He exists
(2) So long as the Universe had a beginning, we can suppose it had a creator, he says. But if the Universe is really completely self-contained, having no boundary or edge, it would have neither beginning nor end: it would simply be. What place, then, for a creator?
(3) Professor Heller argues against the Newtonian concept of creation, that is, against the idea of an absolute space and an absolute time and of God creating energy and matter at certain times
(4) He suggests modern theologians should go back to the traditional doctrine that the creation of the Universe was an act that occurred outside space and time
Hell, I've heard better "logic" from the Intelligent Design crowd.
Just because someone can't get their head around the concept of the infinity of space and time, that hardly constitutes "proof" of the existence of God, circumstantial or otherwise.
Shorter version:
Circular Logic 101
Because religious belief cannot survive without a plasticine supposition of "other-worldness," such as a negative void, such a supposition must therefore exist, regardless of how absurd or illogical.
God doesn't have to adhere to universal laws of physics or science, and therefore, laws of physics or science can't be used to disprove the existence of God.
All that work and I still have time for a snack . . . .
